Lying deadly still in an oak coffin,
An unreal lifelessness engulf your body.
Only yesterday we were together, laughing,
Fishing in a sparkling sun-drenched mountain stream.
Today, I stand incomplete, a young boy without direction,
A stranger in a strange land.
Wherever life takes me,
Until my soul transcends flesh and darkness falls the last time,
I’ll travel heavy, holding back tears,
Waiting for the moment father and son are joined once more,
In a sea of laughter and joyful tears,
Together forever more…
